![]() I think the map issue and other issues like it run the risk of alienating the silent majority. I would suggest that polls for what people want to see on Discord and here on the subreddit are skewed toward players who will play *regardless* of anything and, thus, biased (to the detriment of the game). ![]() It should NOT be possible to run through every map in the game (excluding Asylum and Prison which are ultimately so large they are untenable) multiple times within a 1 hour play session on Intermediate or Nightmare. To put it bluntly, who is playing this game that will *still* be playing through this roadmap and not become bored and leave due to the lack of maps? Most people in my friends group, for instance, bought the same less than 4 months ago and have already become bored with the maps specifically and will "pick it back up again when they put out some new areas." Even the big items update only held interest for a couple of sessions to see what they did. As much as the new options, ghosts, items, etc are fun to play with, through the lens of playing them on the same maps time and time and time again it just doesn't feel exciting. At the risk of sounding ungrateful and/or critical, I can't be the only one who feels like new maps should be placed at a higher priority than a lot of what is on the roadmap. Love the communication, love the updates. Steam Deck will be based on Linux too, which is why trying to accommodate it actually has benefits now. Linus Tech Tips has touched on Linux a lot lately for the average consumer, which has been driving a renewed passion to fix things, so hopefully in the next few years it really will be as “simple” as windows for the average person. Good if you get the official drivers working (sometimes they cause headaches.) But plenty of peripherals might lack some level of support, or require third party programs written by enthusiasts in their spare time. AMD stuff for example works nearly flawlessly. Depending on your hardware, it may just work perfectly. If you’re ever curious, just install VirtualBox and set up a Linux VM to play around - or make a live boot USB. For most games, you can basically just install and go, it’ll handle getting the extra compatibility layers and such. Valve has put a lot of effort into getting most of the steam library working on Linux, and it shows. The great thing about Linux is it’s community is pretty passionate (this can also be a drawback to be fair), so much of the daily stuff is heavily documented. But if you do more than like, web browsing, document editing, and maybe light gaming (but not games with anticheat, which notoriously don’t work because of technical reasons that I could explain but it would be long), you will run into issues. ![]() Don’t get me wrong, I’ve used it almost exclusively for years, it’s plenty capable. In the desktop space, it’s still very much an enthusiast/hobbyist OS. And plenty of drawbacks too for the non-tech savvy. Linux is an amazing, powerful OS with so many advantages…. Just clarifying Im not a game dev :p just a dude with years of Linux and software dev experience. View the full, more detailed rules page here. Rule 8: All posts must be flaired appropriately. Since electricity empowers these two similar ghost types, it should be easy to tell when you have an idle Thaye on your hands.Rule 1: Do not insult/personally attack others. If you hear distinctly slower footsteps with each hunt and if interactions go from haywire to feeble, first rule out the Jinn or Raijiu by checking that the breaker is turned on. Time Warp: Though the hunting ferocity of most ghost types is tethered to team sanity, Thaye ghost behaviour is dependent on the actual time and length of the investigation itself. If you suspect a Thaye, you may have to trigger a hunt early on (they hunt between 50-75 percent average sanity) to ensure that you can collect evidence and complete all objectives before it essentially goes dormant. However, they lose momentum gradually over time, moving slower and becoming less active. Aggression Regression: In a total reversal of the Shade, Thaye ghost types start off incredibly powerful and aggressive, interacting with or throwing multiple items and dashing around the map during its first hunt.
